MOVE TO THE ICE MOUNTAINS IN THE TROPICS
Project type
Fractal Art
Date
5/19/2026
Location
Lowell, MA
I gave a Moebius transform demonstration the other day. I showed how to make a textured foci, which ended up being the ice mountains fractal. This fractal is structured - which is fine, we all go back to our roots.
Moebius is a conformal transform which changes the fractal in specific ways. It does one or more of the following depending on choice: twist, reflect, scale, and rotate. These literally transform the fractal's shape by applying math.

The Mountains reference is an homage to my shamanic teacher from Elder Mountain Dreaming, Elder Phoenix's practice. Mountain magic is said to be sacred, among other things. Fog winding like a serpent in mountain valleys. That sort of thing.
The ice is a reference to one of my friends named lycium, we have a shared Winter mythos/bit of humor, and similar opinions about the summer: for different reasons heat is an achilles' heel, it's too damn hot in summer, it sucks, and fans are a must. We both love the cold for this reason. I am also a lot happier in winter in general. My seasonal affective is inverted and starts in March or April due to allergies. I'm almost back to drinking iced tea which is perfect, right now I only drink warm or hot tea. I don't drink alcohol and have been sober of that since 2021/2022. Large mugs like the one I have look intimidating but I promise they don't bite. I promise I'll quit smoking within the next month. Thanks for always being staunchly concerned about my health. It's not a wurst kaas scenario yet. I haven't needed lorazepam either since about 2021 or so, since you insisted especially concerning how it causes dementia. I do take too many antihistamines but lack of sleep is very rough. One thing at a time. No, I'm not a slave nor am I reporting in. Being a bit nervous and concerned about his friends is a blessing. It's fine to have a discerning mode of thought, or way of life.
Move to the mountains is a song I was stuck on maybe 10 years ago, referencing how I wish I had gotten better for my partner Gabe at the time, before I went back to school in 2012 so it does not apply to Pearson or Sandy or Donna or Jerry. In some ways it was too late for me after my first hospitalization in Waltham - I sunk into a decades-long depression. So that's why I include it here in my personal mythos notes. He stuck around and supported me through everything. Yeah he was a little particular about some things but that's fine, I'm very particular about a lot these days, it's again just a discerning way of life.
Move To The Mountains is by the British group Clock Opera. If others had claimed it as a gesture of attraction that is no longer the case, I was done with having to deal with the three women in 2016. In the beginning and the end I only wanted to be a student. Ten years ago. And ever since then I'd been stalked, slandered, and suffered defamation by Sandy, Donna and Jerry's deranged public social rants.
Otherwise please don't smear campaign, just enjoy the music for music. At the time It was a sort of mourning that I couldn't continue with my former male partner Gabe at the time. Our lives had grown apart, that's all, and I mean him no ill will, and wish him excellence in all things. I had burned out and had struggles with my illness. However, once it was said he is supporting me from afar, and I highly respect that. But I won't speak for anyone else really.
Also this 2016 "Beyond This Place" https://www.deviantart.com/technochroma/art/Beyond-This-Place-607418151 was originally titled in my mind as "Move To The Mountains". So like some other literary tropes of mine, Move To The Mountains is a catchy phrase which I remember from time to time.
