Watch in 4k for a beautiful relaxing animated space fractal. I've also created a 90s scifi soundtrack as a calming, mellow backdrop. I made this fractal originally in 2020, just a still/flat image. Rendered it as a loop back then, only 1920x1080. Yesterday 6/6/2024 and today, decided to resurrect it and render as a full 4k animation for your watching and listening enjoyment. Software: Fractal, animation frames - Chaotica fractal software, 6800xt gpu, 30 hour render, 600 frames Music - Recorded and arranged in Reason 13 with my M-Audio Hammer Pro MIDI keyboard. Events set to VSTs, a couple of which are even hand-engineered in Serum. I started creating fractals circa 2008, learning from Casperium, aka Ali Ries.

First I started in Apophysis with unstructured space art, learning to make nebulas and other sci-fi scenes.

 

Then I went to structured fractals, and learned all the rules...

 

only to break them all again by developing my own style of freeform fractal art as I ported my creative process over to Chaotica, which has been my fractal app of choice since 2016.
