The War On Burnout

As leaders we are honorbound to not spread despair. Morale failure cannot be viral. We have to be strong for the people and the cause.
But in the spirit of discussion, let's also not taboo away human suffering. We often do this in a general societal sense to be strong for others at all costs. Leaders are people too, though, and all workers are prone to suffering and toil, labor without love or reward.
Due to colonials and oppressors cutting us off from resources, basic needs, and isolating us from the supportive web of community, Black and indigenous/tribal cultures were conditioned to minimize or excuse the pain and toil of social or emotional labor as something to be ignored, swallowed, or forgotten. This leaves any of us vulnerable to pouring from an empty cup. To burning the candle at both ends.
This is not inherent to resistance movements at all. I only want to call attention to the fact that strength is often sacrifice without any healing or hope in sight. And no matter what race or credo, we can be strong for ourselves and those who lead us, and not continue the cycles of pain nor punishment. This happens everywhere, to everyone. Interconnection and interdependence heals and empowers all, on all levels of society.
Any overworked, abused, or marginalized individual can witness a phenomenon known only in he upper echelons of Western White culture as a genuine insurance-excusable medical diagnosis: Burnout. Most of us have to deal with the Piss and Shit and buckle down and treat with self-care and remedies.
But I believe, like the renewed karma-paying Dutch already do, that burnout can be a work/overwork injury, stress related, co-illness or injury related, grief related, there are many ways burnout starts. In the Netherlands there is real help for diagnosed burnout, like disability payments, extended time off, social reintegration and job assistance
And it can be a matter of years, months, weeks, days, or even a single traumatic event can send literal shock through your body and fry your tolerance and patience.
Burnout is SO difficult for us Blood folk in Western society to acknowledge. Often it seems like laziness, aggression from wounded resilience.
Burnout is real and is a systemic stress failure of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It affects us on all levels.
In studying burnout I find there are two very treatable root causes: mitochondrial exhaustion and adrenaline exhaustion. Both are healing approaches with good medicine and not drugs or pharma. Both require deep sustained uninterrupted full rest. Both require excellent nutritious diet (whole food plant based, so heavy in plants, berries, roots, legumes etc). Both require specialized food medicine concentrates (nowadays we call them supplements).
Such as NAC, creatine, Vitamin C high dose for mitochondrial.
And adaptogens for adrenal, such as lion's mane, ashwagandha, reishi.
Or you can also see an Asian natural medicines expert, or Native or shamanic medicine healer - they can evaluate your meridians or energy, and read your body, to determine the right course of treatment.
Natural healers need to custom fit you to good medicine, rituals, and daily habits of health to get you better, and listening to community healers, in general, keeps you very healthy and happy.
Other remedies and treatments are out there. Exercise and fulfilling activities also help. Don't trust anyone who gaslights your exhaustion and depression or irritation by giving you only antidepressants.
I fully support the Panthers. Thanks for letting me contribute in such a way as it helps leaders, workers, and the people heal and endure.
There is always hope for Us.
