Dreaming in the 8th Dimension—Letters from the Void

Updated: Feb 22

Image: a first fractal in the 8th-dimensional-themed series. It turned out this nice emerald green, even if I associate this theme with purple and black. Sent here to illustrate some of the impossible geometries of the realm, and the general soft peaceful look.

Before you read further, the bit I wrote below is basically a cabal of reverse Bene Gesserit. It is more like Dune, and apologies to suspicious neighbors but it has nothing to do with Satanism, it’s very forgiving actually because it’s not hell - consider this, maybe God tests us in different ways and visions and journeys, to teach us and rid us of our guilt and sin. The Hebrew text says the only unforgivable sin is if you cannot forgive yourself and accept God’s eternal forgiveness and love.

These monks I wrote about are actually soul clerics. They are charged with healing souls, forwarding awareness/consciousness & the the progress of humanity. Whereas the Bene Gesserit are all about manipulating politics & bloodlines to create a power figure they wanted to control. The monks are in tune with soul alchemy, the transmutation of personal pain & trauma - from darkness, into knowledge and light. No one stays in the 8th dimension forever, it’s a phase you go through as your soul heals and learns.

The entire series is supposed to be roughly about humanity’s loss of true reality - the synthesis & corruption of the richness of the lived experience, shall we say true qualia perhaps, in exchange for 15-second attention spans, and AI destroying the clearness of taking precious photo memories in the very phones that enslave us. Stuff like that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qualia

I’m not an experienced writer but I do free write from time to time. I like this universe I expanded on just now a lot more than Path of the Wise, the last 15 chapters I wrote, albeit the chapters were in a fantasy setting. There is also a time-traveling chapter hanging out on my Facebook somewhere. I need to find it and put it on my Patreon.

So consider, if you will, a setting similar to a cosmic sci-fi universe, where there exists some chapter of soul healers who have Seen Some Shit, and want to help you get through Your Own Shit. They make no pretenses about how dark life can get, as sometimes the only way past is through.

“Yes, friend. The welcoming darkness of the Void is indiscriminate; any and all may be swallowed by its impersonal gravity. All hail the eldritch healing powers of the Void. For it is the 8th dimension, awake and dreaming, its impossible geometry illuminated by ultraviolet trails of diverse thoughts made manifest.

“It is eternally there for us; it is the Unlight, and the Way. For when we fall asleep, any soul seeking clarity or freedom from pain may pass through its blackness.”

“For here, important alchemy is made for weary discomfited souls. It transmutes suffering of passersby to a dense insulation of silent comfort and serenity. Time is nonlinear here - everything, everywhere, all at once - as Time heals all.”

“You may have arrived in darkness, but on the other side is the Light. Darkness before Light; as with all things, even a continuum such as the 8th dimension knows true healing begins with shadow work directly in your dreams.”

“Knowing your Unlight will bring you back to the Light. You will be whole again, in some matter of time. And should you need it again, it waits always on the other side of the bent envelope.”
